Today I am checking out the new Google Chrome beta for Mac OS. So far so good, I am posting this in it as we speak. I have not used Chrome before, but it seems thinner than Safari. I’m liking it. I like the minimal aspects of it; small controls, tabs at the top. It also imported my Safari bookmarks seamlessly. In fact, it reminds me more of Safari than Firefox or IE. It also has a cool Developer Tools window for viewing the nuts and bolts of the sites you visit. That is a plus for guys like me, however it is not quite as robust as the Firebug plugin for FIrefox. At least not yet. It looks better and has a slicker interface, but for my RIA development I need to see SOAP service calls and responses. As far as I can tell, that wasn’t available in Chrome, yet. But so far, I’m giving it an A+. Good job Google.
